" What a great citizen of Austin. Leonard was one fine mentor to me before and while I was president of the Austin Jaycees, and during all my days as a public servant. He provided sage and thoughtful advice to me all along the way, always suggesting but never pushing or demanding, giving me time to find my own way in what was best for all our Austinites. While I have not seen him for years, I will always remember Leonard Lundgren as one of the giants who made Austin a better Austin and did so without fanfare. Bless the family of this wonderful man. Boy, I am glad I had a chance to have him touch my life. God speed Leonard. "
